Forget me Nots -

The Old Hospital, The Avenue, Minehead

Minehead Forget-me- Nots is now officially launched. This group is for people who have memory loss and also for carers. Come and join us at the Old Hospital  Minehead ( please use side entrance in Blenheim Road). We offer support, friendship, relaxation therapies, legal advice and much more ...... Amble not Ramble

This is an informal walking group for people with memory loss, impaired mobility or just lack of confidence, We ask that vulnerable adults are accompanied . We walk on the second Wednesday of each month, meeting at a different venue at 10.30am The walks last about one hour and we usually finish up at a place for coffee. Let’s Dance

Wyndham House, Martlet Road,

Minehead. TA24 5PR

Dances are held in Wyndham House every month. The dances are currently held on a Tuesday but from January 2019 the dances will be held on the 4th MONDAY of each month. They are held in a safe and happy environment. The music and company are great and also the tea and cake. People with memory loss are welcome but we do ask that vunerable people are accompanied by a carer. For further information see the Let’s Dance page

Singing for the Brain & Memory Cafe

Methodist Church Rooms, Lower Meadow Road, Alcombe. TA24 6AN

Memory Cafe is held alternate Thursdays from 10.30am until 12 noon in the Alcombe Methodist Church rooms. Memory Cafe has quizzes, games & talks. The sessions are fun and interesting. Coffee, tea and biscuits are provided. Birthdays are celebrated with cake. All in all a really friendly place to make and meet friends. Singing for the Brain sessions are held alternate Thursdays from 10.30am until 12 noon and are very well attended. Emily guides us through a variety of songs with the aid of props. Coffee and biscuits are provided and the whole session is a warm, friendly & enjoyable. Sessions are run by The Alzheimer’s Society.
